HOW TO PARTICIPATE
WARNING:
please read the complete guidelines carefully.The
entrant who participate in the contest (submit at least one photo) accepts the
rules and guidelines Submitting your photos you accept
the rules and the fact that the organizers can change them anytime.
Each photographer can submit 1 image for each category and
there is no registration fee. The owners of the Dive Card
can submit 2 images for each category.

Images must
respect the following these specifications:
JPG format, at least 1200 pixels on widest side (upscaling not allowed),
limit file size to 250 Kb
Files must be re-named, indicating:
Name and
surname of the photographer followed by the letters A-B-C-D, indicating the
specific category:

Category A: “REFLEX: MACRO”

Category B: “REFLEX: WIDE ANGLE”

Category C: “COMPACT: MACRO”
-
Category D: “COMPACT: WIDE ANGLE”
Example:
For the category “Reflex Macro” the file
must be named: John_Brown_A.jpg
For the category”Compact wide angle”
the file must be named: John_Brown_D.jpg
etc. etc.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
The contest is open to all underwater photographers. and
there is no registration fee.
The entrant certifies the work as his own and represents that the ownership and
copyright for all submissions is the exclusive property of the entrant.
1- Contest duration
Images in digital format may be entered by a contestant who
is the original author of it. Each individual image may be entered in only one
category.
Photos must be submitted by midnight (CET) October 31, 2013
2 – Guidelines
MyShot is an online underwater photo competition.
Photographers can submit their images until the 31 October 2013 deadline and the
registration is free. The jury will decide the winners of the categories and
there’ll be a public vote as well for a selection of 100 pictures (25 each
category). A final party will close the contest.
3 – Prizes
Prizes and
certificates will be assigned by the jury to the top 3 classified for each
category:

Category A: “REFLEX: MACRO”

Category B: “REFLEX: WIDE ANGLE”
-
Category C: “COMPACT: MACRO”
-
Category D: “COMPACT: WIDE ANGLE”
Each photgrapher can’t win more than one prize. According to
the final classification the winner will receive only the one referring to the
best placing following the order: reflex macro, reflex wide angle, compact
macro, compact wide angle.
The “ARENA”: the best 100 foto photos (25 each category)
will be publish together for an on-line public vote. The top 3 will be
cerified as winners by public vote.
Some special awards will be given to
Dive Card‘s owners.

Moreover... a picture in vertical format… can become a cover of ScubaZone, n.1 magazine in Italy. |
The prizes will be delivered during the prizegiving and no
prize will be shipped. The winners, before the prizegiving, must send the
winning photo in a high resolution file (Raw or Jpg).
The pricegiving party is scheduled on Saturday 23rd November 2013 at the Castle in the center of Binasco (Milan – Italy).

5 – Info

The entrant certifies the work as his own and represents
that the ownership and copyright for all submissions is the exclusive
property of the entrant. -
Entrants, by submitting images, grant permission to the
organizers of the Myshot 2013 to use the images for any future need.
Organizers may show the competition entries on their web sites. All rights
remain with the photographers. -
The winners must send the winning photo in a high
resolution file (Raw or Jpg) -
The organization keeps the right to excude pictures that
are considered not-original and copied from any source. -
The organizers, jury members and their relatives are not
eligible to submit photos. -
Marine life shouldn’t be stressed or endangered. A photo
will be disqualified if it shows a diver who is damaging the environment.
Aquarium shots or any not-natural shot won’t be accepted. -
Rules and guidelines can
be changed any time, if necessary. -
Cropping is allowed,
maximum 25% of the original image area -
Not allowed removing,
inserting or cloning objects, pasting from other images or adding graphic
elements (watermark, signature, frame etc.)
